Today I rearranged my room.
Loving the new layout. I have a super nice new dresser, plus plenty of room for my home workouts.
I heard back about the associate career consultant position that my career consultant recommended me for. I sent the hiring manager my resume directly and she will send me some computer assessments & hopefully arrange a time to meet with her.
Now off to Muvico for some salsa!
Battle of the belly starts today...
I just finished my first TurboFire class! And I must say, it was really fun! I found myself saying “wow, this is really fun”—even in the middle of the intense portions. The music is great. Once I master the moves (there are many), I think I will really begin to push it. I can really see myself staying committed to this, which is nice. Insanity was rough to stick with because some...

I met with my career consultant today at Workforce Alliance. She was very helpful & even referred me for a job (actually as an associate career consultant). I’m going to email my resume and cover letter to the hiring manager directly and hopefully I’ll be called in for an interview. I’m really excited about this particular position because it’s in a field I’m...
Valentine's Day
In all seriousness, I can take it or leave it. It’s just so commercialized. But yes, I did celebrate it anyway. I told Richard we didn’t have to do anything too big or expensive, all I wanted was to spend it with him. I got him some white chocolate truffles & some white chocolate macadamia nut cookies (can you tell? He loves white chocolate), along with a little card I made him...

I’m on vacation with my ex-boyfriend and his family, at their home in a tiny fishing village in Mexico. My ex’s dad got on really well with the locals, and they offered to take us on one of their 4am daily fishing outings. It ends up being myself, my ex, his dad, and several old Mexican men on this very small boat.
Now, we all know you’re not supposed to drink the water in...
OMg I'm crying hahahha
The other night, I was sick with the flu. I also ate something that had upset my stomach (on top of the flu, because I’m an idiot). We went to pick up some medicine for me, and on the way home, I told him to floor it because I needed to throw up and have explosive diarrhea at the same time. Oh, did I mention that we were visiting his parents at the time? It was splendid.
By the time we got...

“4th grade i was sitting in class and i had the bubbleguts…I already went to the bathroom but it started rumbling again. I knew it was just gas this time but still tried to escape. Teacher ended up telling me no and I sat there suffering to hold this ass explosion. Not to mention the girl i liked was sitting right next to me. Well needless to say I thought maybe if i lifted up and...
TurboFire
I just bought it. And from a legit person, too (hopefully :). I’m excited to get started, gotta rearrange my room a bit to make a little more workout space! And a good thing about having a home workout program is that I can try to get my mom into doing it. She lost a lot of weight a few years ago due to stress & some other factors, but recently she’s been putting that weight back...
Working Out
My Insanity purchase didn’t work out. It was a fraudulent post on ebay, lol. I took that as a sign. I loved Insanity when I was doing it with Raf, but without him I don’t know how it would work out. He pushed me so much, so I’m not sure if I would be as committed to it without him here. I started looking into other alternatives like TurboFire. It looks really fun & I am very...
I want to go to Washington DC
for salsa, of course.
Resumes
I helped a friend out by re-doing his resume & writing a cover letter. I have to say…it looks good! And sounds good. I hope he gets an interview!
I guess I’m making a hobby out of this. I attended a couple resume workshops & I’m really good at applying the techniques. I helped out another friend of mine a few months ago by completely overhauling his resume—he got a...
Dancing
So, I’m listening to salsa as I’m getting ready to go out. I (of course) start dancing and looking at myself in the mirror. I dance and dance. Doing shines, spins, experimenting with head movements and different body movements. When the song ends, it hits me. Wow. I’m actually really good at this. You know, feeling the music and translating the song into movement. Even by myself,...
Today I applied for a job....
Hope I hear back!!

It’s the end of January & I’ve already done my taxes! Woot Woot! Turbo Tax really rocks….sooo much better than doing it by hand!!
I'm so pissed
Fuck The UPS Store. Don’t go there, it’s a total ripoff…when people ask what I do I’m tempted to tell them I’m a highway robber. Because that’s basically what we do there.
:(
Tinkerbell was picked up by another dog (a mastiff) and thankfully wasn’t killed. But her eye popped out of the socket. She’s at the vet now getting surgery on it. Hopefully she will be able to see again. Apparently it’s not uncommon for that to happen to dogs with pushed-in snouts like hers.

My head hurts
really bad from talking to Richard. He kept insisting that getting a package deal would be better than arranging transportation and hotel separately. Ugggh. He really needs to take a chill pill, especially considering we’re not going on a trip until JULY. Plenty of time, what the heck.
Every day should include some time for peaceful reflection and reading,...
Win for 2012
On New Year’s eve I worked really hard to clean my room, get rid of a lot of old stuff & organize. My room is still clean & I have made my bed almost everyday since then. I think that’s awesome. I am still looking for other things to get rid of or give away. Less stuff=happy room :)

“Instead, I just want one thing for all of you this year: to dig deep, find your courage, and pursue with gusto that thing in your heart that you know you must do. That one thing that, upon reflection 12 months from now, you would surely regret not attempting. I don’t care if you’re ‘successful’ or not. I just want you to TRY. And to come alive in the process.”

http://thoughtcatalog.com/2012/20-new-years-resolutions-for-20-somethings/
I basically have already met all these resolutions, haha. I don’t go for those stupid fad diets; I don’t care about the Kardashians, or about reality TV; I don’t fool around with random people; I can’t really look things up on my phone, so that takes care of #11; I’m already underway with...
12 Resolutions for 2012
I’ve given a few of my goals/resolutions for the new year already, but I saw some bloggers listing 12 goals for 2012, which I thought was cute. Plus, although I’ve been basically obsessing over my financial goals in particular, I should have other resolutions as well. Gotta be well-rounded ;)
